Managing Stress The Natural Way - An Alternative Approach is a workshop that introduces you to alternative techniques that help reduce stress and promote relaxation.  Topics include:

Stress Response (also known as the fight or flight response) vs. Relaxation Response.

Breathing Techniques The core of relaxation exercises is the deep, diaphragmatic breath.  It is the basis to a variety of breathing exercises.

Progressive Muscle Relaxation was developed by Edmund Jacobson in 1929.  He based his technique "on the premise that the body responds to  anxiety-provoking thoughts and events with muscle tension"

Meditation is defined as "the practice of uncritically attempting to focus your attention on one thing at a time."  The act of Meditation relaxes the mind, body and spirit.

Reiki (pronounced ray-key) is a popular alternative energy healing technique being used by practitioners all over the world to reduce stress and promote relaxation

Affirmations "Using affirmations is an effective tool for reframing negative self-talk into a positive message" reducing the stress caused by undermining thoughts.
